Lessons Learned - Using Excel to Manage Data and Track Participants
If your organization is considering using Excel to track participant data, this session covered best practices, common challenges, and lessons learned to maximize the effectiveness of Excel for tracking participant data and outcomes. The event featured tips from an H-1B grantee who uses Excel as a case management tool to prepare data files for submission into in the Workforce Integrated Performance System (WIPS). Please note that this grantee uses a different PIRL Schema (not the demo) so some elements may be different, however the information shared on how they compile data and work with partners is very relevant.
DOL Performance Reporting Page
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) Performance website will assist you in understanding how the workforce system measures, reports, and evaluates performance under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). ETA oversees the performance accountability provision of WIOA to obtain valid, accurate, and comparable results across states to inform policy and program decision making.
